Fairlands Elementary Winter 2019 Session

We held weekly classes at Fairlands Elementary school to teach students how to overcome their fear of public speaking. Students learned the six fundamentals of a good speech (good speed, posture, eye contact, enunciation, confidence, and hand gestures) and applied these skills by delivering speeches in front of their peers.

Fairlands Elementary Spring 2019 Session

Due to the popularity of our first session, we began a second session at Fairlands to teach more advanced topics to students. Students familiarized themselves with competitive debate as they learned how to draft a case,  defend arguments in a rebuttal speech, and perform a cross examination.

Mohr Elementary 2019 Spring Session

We had the opportunity to teach over 40 4th and 5th graders at Mohr Elementary School in Pleasanton. These students learned the fundamentals of public speaking, played interactive speech games, and learned how to formulate arguments during practice debates. These students were able to put their skills to the test during a Speech Contest held at the beginning of summer.
